Saint AugustineSaint Augustine is widely known for his conversion from a life of partying, impurity, and pride to that of Christianity. His mother, Saint Monica, prayed ceaselessly for her son's conversion. That, coupled with the incredible preaching of St. Ambrose, helped St. Augustine discover the fullness of the Truth in the Catholic Church.
St. Augustine was an incredibly intelligent man and after his conversion he was baptized, ordained a priest and bishop, and a very influential Catholic author. He is formally recognized as a doctor of the Church. Saint Augustine is the patron saint of brewers. His feast day is August 28. Read more about St. Augustine HERE |
